MJF Set To Defend AEW World Title Against Samoa Joe At Worlds End PPV

MJF is set to defend his AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe at the Worlds End PPV on Saturday, December 30.

MJF vs. Samoa Joe

MJF and Samoa Joe had an agreement prior to AEW Full Gear, which took place on Saturday, November 18. The agreement was that Joe would assist MJF in his ROH Tag Team Championships bout and, in exchange, the champion would grant Joe a match for the AEW World Championship.

Joe held up his end of the bargain and, on the Thanksgiving Eve edition of Dynamite, he confronted MJF about his own title shot. MJF was initially reluctant to grant the request but, after convincing from Adam Cole, he eventually gave in.

The two agreed to meet at Worlds End on December 30. The event is set to take place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York on Long Island. This will mark AEW’s first PPV event to emanate from New York.

MJF, being from New York, will have the crowd on his side and looks to retain the gold in front of the hometown audience. Joe, on the other hand, hopes to realize the dream that he dropped the ROH World TV Championship for and kick off the new year as the new champion.
