CM Punk Makes WWE Return At Survivor Series

CM Punk is back in WWE. No, this is not a joke. Randy Orton returned to help his War Games team win the match, where Cody Rhodes picked up the pin on Damien Priest. Then, just before the show went off the air, CM Punk’s music hit, and the man returned in his home town of Chicago, Illinois.

CM Punk Returns To WWE

CM Punk left WWE roughly 10 years ago. After a long hiatus away from wrestling, CM Punk joined All Elite Wresting before getting let go following a backstage fight during AEW All In back in August. Now, just three months later, CM Punk shockingly returned to WWE at the end of Survivor Series. He celebrated with the crowd before the show went off the air.

WWE kept it very quiet and in fact told many media members that he was not returning. The CM Punk camp also came out to say there was no talks between himself and CM Punk. But, it was obviously a lie to keep the big surprise. CM Punk didn’t leave WWE on the best terms, but clearly things have been patched up and he’s back with the company. Never say never, they always say.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful spoke on X, saying that CM Punk had an hour long conversation with Triple H last week. He noted that WWE staff, representatives and creative staff had no idea until he walked backstage minutes before his return. Triple H himself even took over the final minutes of the show, calling production. The surprise was not only for the fans, but mostly everyone backstage. PWInsider also reported that Punk’s WWE deal is for “several years”
