Bull Nakano Into WWE Hall Of Fame
As first reported by ESPN, Bull Nakano is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2024. Nakano, to many, is one of the greatest pioneers of women’s wrestling.
Born Keiko Aoki, Nakano began competing in All Japan Women’s Pro Wrestling (AJW) at the age of 15 in 1983. She would subsequently compete for a host of promotions including Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), World Wrestling Federation (WWF), and World Championship Wrestling (WCW).
Nakano held several titles across various promotions and, within the WWF, she held the WWF Women’s Championship one time too. In 1997, Nakano was forced to retire from pro wrestling due to injuries but she has remained involved in the industry since.
Not only was Nakano a pioneer in women’s wrestling but she also served as a trailblazer for Asian wrestlers too. She joins Paul Heyman in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024.
The 2024 Hall of Fame ceremony is set to take place on Friday, April 5 – the Friday before WrestleMania 40 weekend. The event will take place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
