Axiom and Nathan Frazer were granted an immediate rematch for the NXT Tag Team Championship on the April 9 edition of NXT. This match had a twist though, as Axiom and Frazer would be forced to separate if they did not succeed this time.
Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin had successfully defended the titles against Axiom and Frazer at Stand & Deliver. On the April 9 NXT, Axiom and Frazer managed to capitalize on the moment and win the titles.
This ends Breakker and Corbin’s first run with the titles at 57 days. Axiom and Frazer become the 36th champions in the title’s history, and it is their first run with the titles.
