Dubois’ sister, Lightweight contender Caroline Dubois, opened up on the fight in an exclusive interview with NoSmokeSport.

Caroline Dubois Honest On Usyk vs Dubois

“Yeah, I think I’ve been vocal and said that I generally think it’s a 50-50 fight.”

“Anything can happen. I think the first four rounds are going to decide how the fight goes.”

“If Daniel comes out and he’s like a train and Usyk just can’t get out the way and he’s just on him, I think that will be the pace of the fight for the rest of the fight. I think it’ll be difficult for Usyk to get out of that.”

“If Usyk can come out for the first four rounds and he can make himself incredibly elusive, really use the jab, desensitize Daniel a little bit and switch him off and have movement and just really make himself really tricky to hit. Maybe Daniel gets stuck in a rut and struggles to get out of that as well.”

“So I think it can go both ways and I think the first four rounds will be a massive decider on how the fight pans out.”

“Obviously, I think Daniel will always have that one-punch knockout ability. We’ve seen with the Kevin Lerena fight, it wasn’t going his way and then out of nowhere, he springs that. He’s always got that ability and I think in the heavyweight division, it’s a little bit underrated that ability to just turn a fight like that on its head. So I think it’s a genuine 50-50 fight.”

“I think it’s a massive fight and I hope lots of people are taking attention to it. In the heavyweight division, we see some crazy fights happening. You see Fury fighting Ngannou and people will pay for that. People watch.”

“You know, we see two legit fighters stepping in the ring, risking it all, challenging for it all. The young hungry Lion Daniel versus the experienced veteran Usyk. It’s a real fighting fans fight, so I think people should appreciate that and just accept it for what it is.”

“All the UK fans need to get behind Daniel and hopefully, he can bring it home, bring it back to England and bring back all the belts. That’ll be amazing. Bring it back. So I’d love to see all the UK fans getting behind him and supporting him on that, but like I said, it’s a real fighting fans fight.”
