In a recent interview for Misfits Boxing, KSI said he’d “love for that to happen” in relation to Zlatan Ibrahimović fighting on Misfits Boxing

In a recent interview clip posted on socials by the Misfits Boxing page ( @Misfits Boxing ), KSI was asked about the prospect of Zlatan Ibrahimović joining the ‘Misfits universe’, in which KSI excitedly replied “I would love for that to happen, that would be incredible. I mean, yeah, I’ve seen him on the bags. It looks like he can bang, let’s go, bro. Get in the ring, get in the squared circle!”

As most people are aware, Zlatan is a Swedish Football player who has played for well-known teams such as Barcelona, PSG, Man-Utd and others. He also holds the title as the top-ever goalscorer for the country of Sweden with a total of 62 goals scored. He has received up to 11 Ballon d’Or nominations, won the Golden Foot in 2012 and won the Globe Soccer Awards in 2022. Just to name a few from his long list of individual achievements.

It is well known that Zlatan has had an interest in boxing for a long time. He has appeared at Boxing fights such as Kell Brook vs Gennady Golovkin and was even backs stage in Anthony Joshua’s dressing room before Joshua went out to fight Carlos Takam in 2017. His love for watching the sport is there, but what about partaking in it?

Well, Mr Ibrahimović is also a black belt in taekwondo. He sometimes posts clips of himself doing various kicks onto things such as heavy bags, a tree, and once kicking a lid off a water bottle backstage after a football game. He has also been posting training clips recently on his Instagram stories of him doing horizontal situps while holding himself onto the side of a heavy bag which is very impressive. This has led some fans to think he’d be a perfect candidate for joining the world of Misfits Boxing.

On the post of the interview of KSI, fans reacted in a positive way to the potential of him fighting on Misfits with people saying: “Zlatan vs Wayne (Rooney) would be a fight!”, “Would be insane”, “Ibra vs Rooney would BANNNNNNG”. The fans are clearly most interested in a potential matchup between Zlatan Ibrahimović and Wayne Rooney. Although it is unknown if they are similar in weight, and also what level of financial demands they would both want, as footballers are far from cheap. Which would make the fight hard to finance.
