Tokkers’ Tips – Spence Crawford, Davies Cunningham
With a huge weekend in the sport of boxing, I’ve looked through the markets to bring you some bets that I find to be great value. With Spence vs Crawford on Saturday, it’s not one to be missed.
Starting in Telford on Saturday, I believe that Liam Davies will look really impressive against Jason Cunningham. Coming off a win against European Level Ionut Baluta, Davies has propelled himself into the top 10 at 122lbs, and faces off against Jason Cunningham, defending his EBU, and British titles. Cunningham, looked slightly off it against Gonzalez earlier this year, and is certainly past his peak years. I believe that Davies to win by stoppage at 2/1 is a good bet.
In Vegas, Sergio Garcia faces late replacement Yoenis Tellez over 10 rounds. Tellez is one of the new bread of aggressive Cuban fighters, and at only 5-0 he takes a huge step up against the fringe world level operator Garcia. I think Tellez is catching Garcia at the right time, and will spring the upset over the Spaniard. Tellez to win at 11/10 is good value.
In the main event in Vegas, Terence Crawford takes on Errol Spence for the undisputed Welterweight title. In a true super fight, I believe that Crawford will have the slight edge. At one point I believe Spence will be hurt, similarly to the Ugas fight, but the difference being Crawford will not let Spence off. Crawford by stoppage in rounds 7-12 at 9/2 is my bet for the contest.
Final selections:
- Davies to win by stoppage at 2/1
- Tellez to win at 11/10
- Crawford by stoppage in rounds 7-12at 9/2
