SPOTLIGHT ON ELIJAH GARCIA- The 19 Year Middleweight making waves!

Hot prospect Elijah Garcia is back in action this Saturday on the undercard of the most anticipated fight of the year, Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia. The young Middleweight has had an impressive start to his career and will have many more eyes on him this weekend and he looks to impress!

Hailing from Arizona, with a Mexican heritage, the Undefeated middleweight prospect has been making waves in the boxing world. He is highly touted to be a World Champion and a young one at that! At just 19 years old, Garcia has already racked up an impressive record of 14 wins and no losses, with 12 of those wins coming by way of knockout.

Signed to TGB promotions, Garcia had a busy 2022, racking up four victories, including three knockouts. Last February, he faced off against Cruse Stewart, stopping him in the second round in a fight that was live on Showtime Sports.

Garcia’s most recent victory came only last month when he faced off against the previously unbeaten Amilcar Vidal. Garcia put on an impressive performance, stopping Vidal in the fourth round and announcing his presence in the 160-pound division.

Elijah Garcia had a short-lived amateur career and turned pro in 2020 at the tender age of 16! Trained by his father (George Garcia) and grandfather (George Garcia Jr), the powerful Southpaw has set himself a goal of capturing a World Title by the age of 21. He is currently ranked at number 11 with both the WBC & WBA and at 15 with the IBF in the Middleweight rankings.

Standing across from Garcia on April 22 will be the veteran Mexico City native Salgado, who is the younger brother of former super featherweight world champion Juan Carlos Salgado. Salgado has a record of 15-1-1, with 10 of his wins coming by way of knockout. Now training in San Antonio, Texas, Salgado most recently earned a knockout victory in December.

As Elijah Garcia prepares to take on Salgado, boxing fans around the world will be watching closely. Gervonta “Tank” Davis vs Ryan Garcia is one of the most highly anticipated events in boxing, and Elijah will have the opportunity to showcase his skills on a truly global stage live on DAZN and Showtime.
