Oleksandr Usyk has responded to comments made by Boxing Promoter, Frank Warren in a recent interview with a hilarious, but slightly weird analogy. This comes on the same day Oleksandr Usyk was announced as the latest huge signing for the Saudi base promotion company, Skills Challenge Promotions
In a recent interview with TalkSport, Frank Warren made comments on the value of Usyk in a fight deal between him and Tyson Fury, Warren said:
“Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois went for purse bids and the bid was $ 8 million. He gets $ 6 million. That’s the value of Usyk. If Tyson Fury vs Dubois went for purse bids, that’d fetch $ 30 million all day long, because that’s the value of Tyson Fury”
Oleksandr Usyk Responds To Frank Warren
When asked in an interview today with Boxing King Media for his thoughts on Frank Warren’s comments, Usyk continued to reel off an analogy that could leave boxing fans wondering exactly what point he was trying to make. Usyk said:
“When I get on my horse in the middle of the field and I gallop my horse as fast as I can, I need really really good conditioning for that but when they start speaking about milk, corn, wheat – what can I say? It’s difficult to comment”
“Everything Tyson Fury and his people say, they say it to the mirror”
Will Fury vs Usyk Happen?
In recent weeks, following the breakdown of the negotiations for the Fury vs Usyk fight, it’s become evident that Tyson Fury and his team have been making attempts to downplay Usyk’s value, probably in an effort to inflate Fury’s bargaining power for upcoming deals. Nevertheless, with Usyk’s recent signing to Skills Challenge Promotions, it’s safe to assume that any significant offers for the Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk fight will undoubtedly originate from Usyk’s corner. Could this be a tough reality for Tyson Fury and Frank Warren to accept?
