Boxing Bulletin July- Huge Month Of Boxing Ahead with Crawford vs Spence and Inoue vs Fulton!

It is here, it is finally here! We have waited with baited breath for years but we can finally say Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr will finally get it on this month. July also sees Pound-For-Pound #1 move up in weight again to face WBC & WBO World Super Bantamweight champion Stephen Fulton. July promises to be a memorable month and here is our preview for it.

Terence Crawford vs Errol Spence Jr- Undisputed Welterweight Clash!

A fight that has been years in the making, finally takes place on the 29th of this month. The two go head-to-head for all the marbles in the Welterweight division at The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Spence puts his WBA, WBC and IBF straps on the line, with Crawford defending his WBO. The vacant Ring title will also be up for grabs.

It is hard to think of a bigger 50/50 fight in boxing at the moment then this one and it truly is set to be the fight of the year. Both fighters carry perfect records with Spence winning all 28 of his bouts, 22 by way of knockout. Crawford, 2 years Spences senior, has a record of 39 wins from his 39 fights with 30 of them coming via a stoppage!

Spence has been fairly inactive in recent years, having last fought over a year ago when he beat Yordenis Ugas, whereas Crawford last fought 6 months ago when he defeated David Avanesyan via a 6th round stoppage. The pair do both boast impressive resumes though but this will without a doubt be the toughest test in each of their careers so far!

Negotiations have been back and forth for years. One minute it was on, the next it was off but PBC (Premier Boxing Champions) finally managed to get the 2 fighters to reach an agreement. The fight will land on Showtime PPV in The States, as yet there has not been a UK broadcaster announced but news on this is expected imminently.

Stephen Fulton vs Naoya Inoue- Inoue’s bid to become 4 weight World Champion!

Naoya Inoue is moving up in weight again after defeating Paul Butler in December to become Undisputed Bantamweight World Champion and subsequently vacating the titles. He moves straight into a fight with the unbeaten American Stephen Fulton for WBC and WBO Super Bantamweight straps.

The fight was postponed from its original date of May 7th due to an undisclosed injury to Inoue, but is now set to take place on July 25th at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Inoue is considered Pound-For-Pound number 1 across many platforms but many are considering this a 50/50 fight with Fulton who is has been dominating the 122 lb division. Fulton has been out of the ring for a little over a year now though since defeating Daniel Roman, so to go straight back in with a fight against Inoue, in his home country, is going to be a tall order. Fulton’s record currently stands 21 wins from his 21 fights, 8 of those wins coming by way of knockout.

Naoya Inoue career and resume has been nothing short of sensational with wins over the likes of Nonito Donaire (twice), Jason Moloney and Emmanuel Rodriguez to name but a few. He has won all of his 24 fights with 21 of those ending in a stoppage!

This one truly looks to be all set to be a memorable fight and is live on ESPN and Sky Sports.
