Starting off on Friday at York Hall, Ellis Zorro headlines against Hosea Burton. I believe Ellis Zorro is fresher and will lean on the experience of his tough bout with Dec Spellman last year to beat Burton on points. I believe Burton is well into the 2nd half of his career and has shown his level in defeats to Dan Azeez and Bolotniks. Zorro on points at 5/4 is my play

Also on the York Hall card Michal Soczynski faces Israel Duffus. Soczynski had an extremely tough fight with Aloys Junior, who took the bout on extremely short notice, in his last outing in the UK. Duffus put in an extremely good showing against Olympian Chev Clarke in February, and I believe he had the experience to pull the upset. Duffus to win at 11/2 is my outsider of the week.

Moving stateside, Rolly Romero takes on Ismael Barroso for the vacant WBA Super Lightweight Title. I believe Rolly will settle into the bout and take out Barroso, who quite simply put is way too old to last the championship distance. Romero in rounds 5-8 at 7/4 is my play.

Also on the PBC card, I believe Rances Barthelemy will have too much for 23-year-old Omar Juarez in a very low-action fight. As Barthelemy does I believe he will box extremely negatively and win on points. Barthelemy on points at 11/10 is the play

I am moving over to California. Jason Moloney challenges Vincent Astrolabio for the vacant WBO Bantamweight title. I believe Moloney’s experience at championship class will be too much for the tough Filipino, and he will have too much for him down the stretch. Also being the “Home fighter” should see Moloney get favorable treatment from the judges. I believe Moloney on points at 15/8 is a great bet.

In the main event in Carson, Janibek Alimkhanuly faces the overmatched Steven Butler for his middleweight title. I believe it is a matter of when rather than if Janibek gets Butler out of there. And I believe the play for the contest will be Alimkhanuly in rounds 5-8 at 7/4 and it’s my best bet of the week.
